Preparing your visit

Only 5 accompanying persons are included in the price. There is an extra charge for each additional accompanying person taking part in these activities:

• €14.50: October to March and Wednesdays from April to September
• €20: other days from April to September

Visits for groups

Booking is compulsory for groups.
 

Payment in advance (credit card or bank transfer)

NEW! From December 2024, groups wishing to take a self-guided tour and able to pay in advance by credit card or bank transfer must book exclusively via our online e-ticketing service, please click here. You will first be asked to create an account, after which you will be able to access the available slots.

Once you have made your reservation, please go directly to the forecourt at the entrance to the monument, at the access control point, with your e-tickets.

For other means of payment (cash, cheques, administrative orders and Culture Pass-for French groups only), as well as to book an educational activity, please send us the completed form below at least four weeks before the date of your visit and wait for our booking confirmation: reservations.arcdetriomphe@monuments-nationaux.fr .

Please note: cheques should be made payable to "Régisseur des recettes du droit d'entrée", and a French identity document must be presented.

Partnership with the Comité de la Flamme under the Arc de Triomphe

Discover the Arc de Triomphe on a self-guided tour or a lecture tour, before attending or taking part in the rekindling of the Flame ceremony!

From September 2024, the Arc de Triomphe-CMN and the Comité de la Flamme sous l'Arc de Triomphe are joining forces to make your visit to the monument easier. You can now book the 4pm and/or 4.20pm visiting slots, subject to availability.

The rekindling of the flame ceremony under the Arc de Triomphe is public. It takes place every evening at 6.30pm. Interested schools, associations and organisations can apply to the Comité de la Flamme sous l'Arc de Triomphe to take part in a rekindling, wreath-laying or flame-taking ceremony by clicking here.

Please note that this ceremony is not open to individuals.

Access to the monument is via thePassage du Souvenir , at the top of the avenue des Champs-Élysées or the avenue de la Grande-Armée.

By car

From outside Paris: exit at Porte Maillot and avenue de la Grande-Armée or exit at Porte Dauphine and avenue Foch.

By bike

Vélib' stations on rue Arsène Houssaye, avenue Hoche, rue Beaujon, rue Balzac and rue Traktir.

By public transport

Metro lines 1, 2, 6 and RER A, Charles-de-Gaulle-Étoile station; bus lines 22, 30, 31, 52, 73, 92 and Balabus.

Services and visiting conditions

PLEASE NOTE: Due to maintenance work on the elevator, access to the monument has been possible only via the stairs (284 steps) since late July 2026. Renovation work on the elevator is planned. The date when it will return to service in 2027 will be announced at a later date.

• Maximum baggage: 40x40x20cm.
• No left luggage.
• Objects prohibited in the monument: flags, banners, selfie poles, tripods, scooters, rollerblades, sharp objects, glass bottles, weapons.
