Presentation

Sometimes discreet decorative elements, the animals and plants on the Arc de Triomphe also tell its story and bear witness to its highly symbolic dimension. Discover what the eagles, roosters and horses that are omnipresent in the monument's iconography have to say to us.

Students take part in a themed tour of the Arc de Triomphe and its sculpted plant decorations.

Heritage workshops

Cut, fold, compose! Discover the floral and plant decorations on the Arc de Triomphe. In a workshop, children will be introduced to the art of origami and create their own paper decorations.

Practical information

Access to the monument via the pedestrian underpass at the top of avenue des Champs-Elysées and avenue de la Grande Armée. Elevator available for visitors with reduced mobility.
