The panorama

Vue panoramique de Paris vers le Sud Est, depuis la terrasse de l'Arc de triomphe.

Don't miss the chance to (re)discover the greatest view of Paris from the terrace of the Arc de Triomphe.

Paris at 360

A panoramic view

In the historic axis of the Champs-Élysées avenue, between the Arc du Carrousel du Louvre and the Arche de la Défense, the Arc de Triomphe stands in the heart of Paris's 8th arrondissement. Its terrace, overlooking the grey tiles of the Parisian rooftops, offers a unique view of the capital's outstanding monuments. The Eiffel Tower, just one avenue away, is within easy reach!

You can also admire the Sacré-Cœur basilica in the emblematic Montmartre district, the La Défense business district and its skyscrapers, the golden dome of Les Invalides, the colonnaded dome of the Panthéon, but also the towers of Notre-Dame cathedral in the distance, the great Tour Montparnasse, the Centre Georges Pompidou, etc...

Historic staircases

284 steps

Unique views come at a price!

The historic staircases, located in the monument's pillars, form part of your visit to the summit. The ascent starts off with a mesmerizing 240-step spiral staircase. They were recently renovated in 2022.

Reach the mezzanine level, then pass through the museum hall, where you can relax and enjoy the mediation screens, the cast and the model of the monument. The hardest part is over: there are just 40 or so steps left to reach the panoramic terrace.
